First time visit to The Slip, very handy for those staying at Rowntree Park Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite. Warm friendly welcome, good selection of real ales, stuck to the house beer The Slip, very nice. Traditional terrace street pub. Clean and tidy Will visit again when in York Price per person: £1–10 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Old school pub with a fantastic range of beers, the wine isn't too bad either. Plenty of nice people and quite a few well behaved dogs too, exactly what a pub should be. Can be busy when football is showing but you can usually find a quiet corner or sit outside in the beer garden / patio at the back. Staff are very friendly, clients are a good mix of locals and holiday visitors which makes for a great chance to meet people. There are plenty of places to drink in the Bishopthorpe road area, however the Slip Inn is a proper York pub. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £1–10 Wheelchair accessibility: Some customers use a wheelchair and it's not an issue

Lovely small pub. Great for dog walkers has a beer garden. Brilliant selection of guest ales/beers and more. Sometimes hosts beer and cider weekends. Definitely worth a visit. Price per person: £1–10 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
