Try This Local Diner for Great Sandwiches and Ice Cream - Food and Service are Excellent!. Stopped in there for the first time this evening when we saw that the restaurant was under new ownership and just reopened for business. We had the pulled pork basket and it was GREAT (really tender and full of flavor). The coleslaw was really fresh and good, with hot (just out of the fryer) French fries. The staff is friendly and provided excellent service. We will definitely be back to try their other menu items and can't wait when they start serving breakfast. You definitely should try this diner while in the Mecosta area; always a good thing to support a local family owned business! We highly recommend Sluggers for a reasonably priced meal!
