The experience was good until the host Valentina repeatedly kept approaching my table asking myself and guest to move indoors as they needed the outdoor table my guest and I were occupying. It was very abrupt and persistent while we were still drinking. When we requested for the check, it took time for someone to provide the check and was asked to leave by Valentina a secondary time. My experience was hindered by Valentina’s persistence. Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

Sly Rooftop Bar offers an impressive atmosphere, with a spectacular view and a DJ who set an energetic tone for the evening. While the music inside was somewhat too loud, it was well suited to the outdoor space where we sat. The venue appears to cater to an ethnic, adult, mature crowd which I definitely appreciated. Our party of four participated in the Restaurant Week special and spent a total of $220, including the automatic 20% gratuity. Overall, I would recommend visiting for the drinks and ambiance rather than the food. Two members of our party ordered the Shrimp Bucatini Pasta and enjoyed their meals. Another guest ordered the salmon, expecting it to be prepared medium; however, it arrived well done and had an unpleasant fishy taste. I ordered the Roasted Half Chicken, which unfortunately lacked flavor. How can you mess up chicken? At the end of the meal, we all agreed that the Cornbread appetizer was the best part of our meal. Of note, this happened to be my second dining experience in the District this week, and I have noticed that some newer restaurants seem to struggle with the quality and consistency of their food. I encourage management to invest more time in testing menu items, listening to constructive feedback, and making improvements. Guests want a well-rounded experience, and when the food falls short, it can leave both a literal and lasting negative impression as it did for us! We'd be open to giving it another shot only if the food improves, or we eat somewhere else before we go there. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–60 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
