Llegamos al restaurante justo antes de que cerraran y a pesar de que ya habían apagado la parrilla nos ofrecieron algunos platos. Les dijimos que no hacía falta y que nos recomendaran algún lugar cerca. El mozo nos agradeció y nos dio varias recomendaciones, y nos dio chai y una porción de postre para que pudiéramos buscar otro lugar sin apuro. El mejor trato que recibimos en Estambul! Service: 5

A beautiful restaurant with perfect dishes. We like all of them. Service the best, people the best. Near Kandikoy center. Near the port. Prices very very good. We went there twice. We visited Istanbul every year and the last five six years we stay at Kandikoy. Now we know where we eat the best food, big dishes, perfect meat and we pay very good prices served by polite people. An absolute gem in Kadıköy – a must visit! We stumbled upon Sofra Han during our trip to Istanbul and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences of our entire stay. The food was absolutely delicious – fresh, authentic and full of flavour. Exactly what traditional Turkish cuisine should taste like. What made the experience truly special was the incredible hospitality. Chef Metin personally welcomed us and made us feel right at home. We were treated to several complimentary dishes which we did not expect at all – a wonderful gesture that showed genuine care for their guests. The atmosphere is warm and authentic – you can tell immediately that this is a place where locals eat, not a tourist trap. Prices are very fair for the quality you receive. If you are visiting Istanbul and want a truly authentic Turkish meal with outstanding hospitality, do not miss Sofra Han. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Istanbul!
