Would have loved to post this in the moment, however myself and my family were frightened for our life. We had just finished a fantastic night at the Pink Flamingo and were looking to wrap up the evening with a few drinks at Soho Bar. Some people we had seen at the previous venue were also heading there and were excited to continue the night. However, when we found them outside walking away from Soho, we learned that one of them had been refused entry by the bouncer for being "too drunk" - which, for context, wasn't the case. He was perfectly coherent, respectful, and had only had a couple of drinks earlier in the evening. While disappointing, they and we respected that venues have their rules. What followed, however, was completely unacceptable and the main reason for this review. The short, tattooed bouncer (26/04/25 at 11:30pm) who had refused the man not only followed him and his partner and other couple down the street but also eavesdropped on our conversation with them. Despite no disrespect from our new friend, the bouncer aggressively inserted himself into the discussion, raising his voice and creating an unnecessary scene trying to "prove" he was right. Instead of de-escalating - which you'd expect from security whose job it is to maintain a safe environment - this bouncer continued to pursue him, asking to "fight" to prove he was in fact drunk and could take him out. He then took his shirt off and got right up in his face, shouting abuse at both our new found friends as well as his visibly frightened girlfriend. We ultimately chose to walk away from the situation, but the behavior we witnessed was extremely unprofessional, intimidating, and frankly dangerous. The situation from the "security guards" behaviour escalated so badly that I was ready to dial 000. It left a sour taste on what was otherwise a fantastic night. I would caution others looking for a safe and enjoyable experience to think twice about visiting Soho Bar if this is the standard of their security staff. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
