Pasta solo.. more like pasta slowmo Booked ahead of time with a group of 15 (which the restaurant happliy accepted) came in with high hopes and looking forward to a good meal before continuing our journey for the night, it was all downhill from here. Extremely understaffed we had to go up to ask if our orders could be taken 20 minutes in. After orders were taken it took over 30 minutes for the first drink to come out it probably took another 30 mins and multiple people asking for all initial drinks to be brought to the table. Around this time appetisers came out - one of these was cold in the middle meaning it was likely frozen. At the same time as this all happening, two other tables were also complaining about the wait. In both times the owner pointed to our group to blame us. Even with our large group, this venue was not booked to capacity and they were still accepting additional customers once we'd been seated. Then there was the big wait...not only did it take 1.5hrs for the first pasta to come out the following pastas came out extremely slowly it was almost as if our groups mains were only made only once we had complained multiple times. Half the group was done eating about 30 minutes before the others even got their meal. With a two hour wait you would expect something to ensure your patrons would return despite the disappointing experience yet very little remorse was shown from the staff. An explanation was only given once we went up to ask what the hold up was and if we could expect our food soon. Each time we asked (perhaps 30 minutes apart) we were told the same thing "it takes about 15 minutes per pasta and it'll be out soon". From our 7pm booking time, our last meal was arrived at 9:30pm. There was more than a two hour wait from when our order was prompted to be taken and the final main was delivered. I understand that we were a large group but if a business doesn't have the capacity to facilitate a group they should say no. I don't think anyone in our group appreciated being the scapegoat for the slow service and the restaurant being understaffed. The pasta itself was nice but was hard to enjoy when the wait had spoiled our appetite and the night. Price per person: $40–60 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

This pasta blew my mind. It was a gorgeous rainy night on smith street. We had a bottle of running with the bulls Tempranillo and the seafood pasta and aubergine with salmon so good. So tasty. Perfect. Love this place. Will be back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Had a lovely dinner at Solo Pasta this evening. They have lots of options for tomato, cream and other pasta bases along with a choice of classic, beetroot and spinach pasta. Service was great and attentive. Would go again! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Service: Dine in Price per person: $60–80
