We were in Springfield for a mud run and all my little one wanted was a hot dog. They were out of hot dogs at the on-site food truck so I found the closest drive-thru, Sonic. At first we pulled up to the park and eat, hit the red button, and after about 3 minutes it reset. I pressed the red button again and after a few more minutes of no response, we decided to go through the drive-thru. We were in the drive-thru for about 8 minutes before ordering - the drive-thru attendant was not rude but not exactly pleasant. At the payment/pickup window, the employee took my card and walked away with it for a minute, came back, handed it to me, and I didn't see anyone again for a solid 5 minutes. I was finally handed two bags, and upon glancing in, I noticed my child received fries instead of the ordered tater tots, so I asked for the tots. The employee just kind of stared at me for a few moments, I handed them the fries and they walked away for another 2 minutes. They finally came back, handed me the tots, and I pulled away. The tots were about the only edible thing in the bags. My burger was a sloppy mess and didn't include everything it was supposed to, my child's hot dog was severely overcooked and rubbery, and my onion rings were an undercooked pile of sloppy batter. I've had Sonic a handful of times, at two different Columbus locations, and never experienced anything like this...or at any other drive-thru. My child even got on her (imaginary) YouTube channel to tell her followers to never go to the Springfield Sonic (we don't even watch YouTube if that tells you anything). Great location, staff were very friendly! The area is clean and food comes out very quickly (correctly too). Totally recommend their bacon cheeseburgers and tots! Price per person: $1–10 Recommended dishes: Tots, Cheeseburger

I would never recommend Sonic to begin with, but I also would not recommend this location. You're basically asking for a heart attack. The food here is so disgustingly messy and greasy. Pretzels are soggy, hot dogs are drowning and soggy, burgers are greasy and soggy, and some how the fries are soggy as well? The treats that they do have are also just a heart attack in a cup with multiple days worth of sugar in container. To top it all if, it's gotten extremely expensive! Treat yourself better...
