My boyfriend and I stopped by this Sonic for a quick dinner, and unfortunately our experience was disappointing due to the customer service we received. While placing our order, I initially ordered a large mozzarella stick and a cheese tot. During the ordering process, my boyfriend decided he actually wanted Combo #13 with a cheese tot instead. I politely apologized and asked if the order could be changed to the combo meal. The employee taking our order, Rhonda, responded by complaining not once but twice about having to delete and re-enter the items. She then told me that next time I should “order it the right way” to make the experience easier for her. I explained that I wasn’t trying to make things difficult and that the change happened while we were actively ordering. I understand that order changes can be inconvenient, but they are a normal part of working in customer service. What was disappointing was being lectured as a paying customer over a simple modification before the order was even finalized. The interaction felt rude, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary. My boyfriend and I were so taken aback by the way we were treated that we just looked at each other and decided to leave without ordering any food at all. That’s how uncomfortable and unwelcome the interaction made us feel. I hope management addresses this issue. Customers should be treated with courtesy and respect, even when they need to make a small change to their order. Unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression and is not the level of service I would expect from a business that relies on customer support. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

I recently stopped by Sonic Drive-In and ordered a small chocolate shake and two Smashburgers. Unfortunately, the experience wasn’t as satisfying as I’d hoped. Let’s start with the shake: It was incredibly runny—so much so that it had the consistency of milk instead of the thick, creamy treat I was expecting. To make it drinkable, I had to put it in the freezer for a while just to get it to the right consistency. Definitely not the kind of shake I’ve come to expect from Sonic. As for the Smashburgers, they weren’t up to the usual standard either. The burgers didn’t come out hot and fresh like they typically do. They lacked that fresh, sizzling flavor that makes Smashburgers so delicious, and I was left feeling like I didn’t get the full experience I was hoping for. While I’ve enjoyed Sonic in the past, this visit was disappointing. I’m not sure if it was just an off day for the location, but I’d hesitate to return for these same items in the future.
