We visited Sook on a busy Friday night. With dining restrictions still in place they made perfect use of the outside space which is where we were seated. The weather turned wet soon after we arrived but with heating a screens we were (mostly) dry. The interior of Sook would have been more preferred with wall art and murals and a great atmosphere despite the limited number.
Food wise expect big serves and bold flavours. I enjoyed the crispy chicken wing entree and the mister corn fritters which I competed with the vegetarians in our group for. My Massamun beef curry was a large serve and the pad se ew was definitely our favourite of the noodle dishes we tried (the Pad Thai being a little too sweet for most in the group). The vegetarian yellow curry was mildly spiced and tasty and the purple rice/ coconut rice was a nice touch. Roti serves were small but the peanut satay sauce accompanying was like heaven.
Waiting staff did a phenomenal job on what was a busy Friday night. There was a few timing issues with the kitchen where things like rice came out well after everyone mains so noodle dishes were eaten but curry dishes were left waiting for rice. Not a big deal in the scheme of things.
Would definitely love to return again soon, sit inside and try so many of their tasty dishes we didn’t get to sample.
