This is my 3rd visit and I waited to write a review because I was really hoping my experiences would get better. I patronized the restaurant because it’s Black Owned and conveniently close to work. My 1st visit I ordered a fish sandwich and it was good but my experience ordering wasn’t. I get it that you should order a meal how it comes without modifying if the owner thinks it is best served the way it is created but the way the conversation was delivered left a bad taste in my mouth. My 2nd disappointment was last week when I walked over to buy a slice of chocolate cake. I had it before on my 1st visit and it was delicious. The cashier did not respond to my greeting and looked like she didn’t want to be there at all. The cake had not been touched yet so all I saw was chocolate frosting. As she lifts the slice off the cake I see it was actually 3 different flavors/colors. That’s not what I wanted/ordered so I asked to switch to Red Velvet. She got an attitude and her entire demeanor seemed aggravated but if she had told me that it wasn’t an actual chocolate cake when I ordered and paid it would’ve saved her the time and aggravation. My 3rd visit today I ordered online ahead of time for a 1:15 pickup. I walked over and arrived at 1:10. My order was bagged and ready. I walked back to my office less than 5 mins. The potato wedges were still hot and well seasoned. Def a fave. The chicken sandwich as you can see in the pictures looked old. I took the first bite and almost choked because the chicken was too dry. It had been fried too hard. I even tried a 2nd bite. I’m honestly too tired to go back to request a refund. I just know that it should not have been served and that’s coming from 20 years of restaurant experience. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Not very welcoming. Was very excited to try and the cashier just gave us nothing. Felt like we were asking all the questions and carrying conversation. 2/10 recommend for customer service. Only ones in line and just wanted to know more about the business. I am black and love to support black business, but this one needs work on customer service. April was her name. SMH disappointed Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Service: 1

We loved Soul: Food & Culture so much that we went twice during our 3 day trip to ATL! The food was consistently delicious & came out super hot and fresh. We ordered the combo plates and tried the fried catfish & fried turkey leg with the mac & cheese, collard greens, and cornbread. Everything was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The catfish was crispy, the turkey leg was tender, and each of the sides were great. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
