El lugar es muy agradable en apariencia, el servicio está bien, son amables , pero literal te dejan al olvido a menos que estés detrás de ellos lo cual no se me hace agradable ya que tienen suficiente personal para tener una mejor atención al cliente , la comida tiene muy buena presentación pero en sabores les falta , al igual con las bebidas. Southern Roots Market in Mission was one of those places that had me asking two completely different questions within five minutes: 1. Am I even in the right place? 2. WHY IS NO ONE HERE?! It was a little difficult to find, and when we first pulled up I genuinely wasn’t sure we had arrived at the right spot. But once we walked inside, WOW!!! This place is absolutely fantastic. There are fresh flowers, florals everywhere you look, beautiful décor in every direction and the CUTEST bar area with this enormous floral chandelier that immediately steals the show. Then you walk outside and there’s a gorgeous patio, too. Clearly someone put an incredible amount of thought into creating this space because there really wasn’t a bad corner in the entire place. Which brings me back to my question: WHERE WERE ALL THE PATRONS?! Seriously. How is a place this cute not packed?! And thankfully, the food and drinks were every bit as good as the surroundings. I ordered the Bee Sting coffee, and I wish I could tell you exactly what was in it, but all I remember is that it was DIVINE. Whatever you put in there, Southern Roots, keep doing it. Then came the Southern BOB. WOW. That’s really all that needs to be said. The food was every bit as memorable as the space, which is not always the case with places that are this Instagram-worthy. Sometimes you get beautiful décor and mediocre food. Southern Roots actually delivered on BOTH. Fresh flowers, a giant floral chandelier, gorgeous décor, a beautiful patio, fantastic coffee and food that makes you stop mid-bite and appreciate your life choices. The only things I’d change? Make it a little easier to figure out where you’re going when you arrive—and apparently I need everyone in Mission to discover this place because there is absolutely no reason we should have had it to ourselves! Southern Roots Market is a hidden gem in the most literal sense: slightly hidden and absolutely a gem!
