I have been eating here for many years and it’s a go to treat, as is more expensive than some other restaurants in Rugby. The food has always been top notch. But tonight, not so. I ordered at 17:30 and the delivery was within a hour - all good so far. But.the onion bhajis were overcooked, tasted very bland and there was no salad or dip. The naan bread was undercooked, pale and doughy and everything was lukewarm. The chips, while a large portion, were cold and hard. The curry tasted nice but was quite ‘grainy’ (almond or coconut powder). Nearly £30 for an unenjoyable meal is not good. Lesson learnt and will be sticking to my go to curry house in the future. I went here on advice from friends and was very disappointed. I ordered a chicken pathia, others at the table ordered chicken tikka masala and a chicken passanda. All of the base sauces were far too sweet and tasted the same. I won’t be heading back ever and I question what this place has to offer considering how busy it was, on another note, the gentlemen’s toilets are lacking well, everything. just make it better with more care about what is being served and some quality control for taste and substance. Whoever the chef if check their qualifications because I would be embarrassed, have a get together and do a tasting menu as this place is in need of a menu adjustment and analysis. Now I’m off to double drop a gaviscon and ride out the storm. There is hope yet spice lounge. Goodnight and farewell, this is a democracy manifest. Ta ta Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

I have to say it’s the nicest Indian we’ve had in ages. Perfectly cooked, generous portion sizes and reasonably priced. My husband has coeliac disease and they’re very reassuring about confirming the food is gluten free and minimising cross contamination. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
