We ordered a selection of veggie sides and mushroom rice to take to the Mina's Arms. Both of us felt unwell afterwards, and my partner (who ate more) was really unwell. I went back the next evening, the owner said it may have been the okra, but we’ve both eaten okra loads of times. There was also a noticeable bitterness in two of the dishes that didn’t taste right. At first the owner offered a free curry, but we don't want to eat there again. He declined both a full and partial refund saying we should have come back sooner. The conversation became unproductive as he started questioning my story, and suggesting we were unfamiliar with the ingredients and spices or that we had drunk too much beer. This felt dismissive. Overall disappointing. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

We tried this place today me and my kid and the good was absolutely lovely!! Flavoursome, great portions, we could not finish them. Very affordable too! But the top of the cherry was the hospitability - they go above and beyond for their customers! Highly recommended 10/10! Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Large vegetarian selection

Me and my partner paced by Golden Spiced the other day and fancied some Indian cuisine so we popped our heads in to look at the menu and were drawn in by the smells from the kitchen and were then greeted by the gentleman at the desk with some of the best customer service I've seen in Bristol. The place has a very welcoming atmosphere when you walk in. We weren't super hungry at the time so we only ordered a keema rice and hot honey lam tikka masala. And were so glad we did because the food outstanding. The rice was done perfectly and the flavour of that hot honey tikka hit the spot. We enjoyed our whole experience so much we've had to leave this review! We will be back for more!
