They only accept payments by ATM and/or MBWAY above €5 (although they advertise in large letters that they accept payments by MB/MBWAY without mentioning the €5 limit) When I was confronted with this question, after ordering a drink, the guy who was serving simply took the drink away from me as if he was going to steal it. For those who don't have money to pay bank commissions, these people think they are very special... Likewise, they prohibit people from reading at the table and call the police if they do so (cf. news from Diário de Notícias - https://www.dn.pt/pais/ha-um-cafe-que-proibe-a -reading-newspapers-magazines-and-books-e-pode-11134143.html).
