Always had a great time at this venue. Chef/owner has always been accommodating, food has always been superb and prices are very competitive. Had Xmas lunch there a couple of times - table decorated beautifully and good choice of menu and service excellent. Can't comprehend negative reviews as my dining group has never been disappointed. Perhaps negative reviewers are coming from city dining - and, of course, Murrumbateman is NOT in a city! Having said that, its certainly comparable.

Don't bother. Unfortunately I left it too late to book lunch at other restaurants for Mothers Day but secured a booking at Springers Rest. The tablecloths and cutlery were dirty; the commercial FM radio station playing was distracting and inappropriate; the meals were less than average; forget the wine list; the décor is tired, cluttered and very underwhelming; and the icing on the cake was when a very dishevelled man (owner?? patron? kitchen hand?) entered the room and announced to all diners that the owner of a car needs to move it so that others can park, in a very rude tone that made all diners very uncomfortable.
This venue has enormous potential but is too shabby and poorly managed - no wonder it is for sale!
