Made the mistake of going to stable view. Saturday 30/05/26 at 14.25. Was a lovely very hot day. They had been very busy in their defence. How ever the welcome service and way they delt with me was disgraceful. They didnt just ruin my visit but ruined my mood all afternoon. I will never return. We sat at table 35 as a table of 4. On arrival the girl who spoke to us i felt was very short and unfriendly stating coffee and cake only. We went and sat down chose want we wanted. I ordered 2 lemon drizzle a decaf tea,normal tea moca and chocolate milk shake as soon as i order the milk shake she snapped my head off saying no ice cream cant get any till tomorrow. Only have strawberry and biscoff which are not flavours i can pallet. This was charged at over £18 I was going to order a cake but with having no drink options that would work for me in that temperature i was left sitting at the table with nothing but company. The teas came out 1st. 2 normal teas when i asked about the decaf had the girl argue that we hadnt ordered a decaf. In the end she went and remade it. She then came back with the coffee and tea and 1 slice of cake. When i asked about the 2nd cake just got told u didnt order it. I argued the fact they then went off and cut the extra slice and 3 of them came over mob handed with the card machine forcing us the pay again. This made my parents uncomfortable so they just paid the extra. Once we had almost finished the manager came over aggressively saying i had upset her staff member. Told her the facts which she tried to argue defend with weather and that it was late in the day ect. She then went and checked the till she came back with the print out. Showing 1 cake, 1 coffee and 3 teas. And £5 note in hand. Stating the 2nd cake had gone through as an extra tea which had never come to the table. All this exchange had once again made my parents uncomfortable and they went to apologiseto the waitress. with in my opinion they had not need to do. We had not been in the wrong as shown by the £5 refund.

Had breakfast here last week and it was a bit pricey but the quality of the food more than justified the price . The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the place itself was spotlessly clean . We got there just before it got really busy so our food came out quite quickly and piping hot and I did purposely take note that even when busy people weren’t waiting long for there meals to arrive at the table . I mention this as I read in a previous comment that service was slow but I think that’s just one person’s opinion and should be taken as that . I’ll be going again as myself my mum and my son all agree it’s the best breakfast available in Derbyshire and we try new places every month and this one is in our top five to return to and stable view is number one for breakfast. Watch this space for my lunchtime review.
