Kath. Kirchengemeinde St. Matthias es un añadido grandioso a la impresión que te va a dejar este bar. Degustar su sabroso steak tartar y su bien trabajada sopa son aquí una experiencia estupenda. Degusta la delicada berlinesa que te ofrece Stagger Lee. Es un placer disfrutar de su excelente bourbon, su deliciosa cerveza o sus sensacionales tequila.
Vas a llevarte un buen recuerdo de este lugar, puesto que es bien conocido por su gran servicio y su amable personal, siempre dispuesto a ayudar. Por la comida te van a cobrar unos precios adecuados. So I didn't have to 'walk through the rain and mud to come to a place called The Bucket Of Blood'. But the Bucket of Blood is indeed served here -- with bacon. I'm a fan of saloons, Nick Cave, and the Stagger Lee myth. I'm also a lover of potent, creative, no-nonsense cocktails (particularly those based on Mezcal, Tequila, or both). All of this, and more, I found here. Some impressions: Eye-capturing décor, good ambiance, sitting comfortably at the bar (which could be slightly less cluttered, but still it's a good bar), sturdy bar chairs, loveliest drink menu design I've ever seen, so much attention to detail. I found the music to be weird at first, but it improved greatly as the evening went on and I swear it's not because the level of alcohol in my blood kept increasing. (I can definitely feel some good dark Americana would be very fitting for this place. For example: Murder by Death, a charming Nick-Cave-meets-Johnny-Cash band.) The staff/bartenders are genuinely charming, skilful, and fun. Despite the bar being super busy at some point, they still managed to cater to everyone with only the slightest wait. I was very tired from work so I couldn't communicate properly how deeply satisfying our experience was, so I felt obliged to say it with a tip. As for the drinks, I had: Montezuma Negroni, El Diablo 'Cabron Style', and a monthly special which I believe was called 'A Trip to Tijuana'. (I also tried a few sips of the Mexican Mule, which is what I'm ordering next time.) I enjoyed all of them, but found the Montezuma Negroni to be the most to my liking -- this is a masterpiece of a cocktail in my opinion, I loved how strong and unapologetic and bitter it was. I'm still thinking about it. Until next visit.
