We went to Standard Rec the first time a few years ago and it was not a great experience. The food was meh. The board games were missing pieces and the “free” games in the back were mostly broken or off. For some odd reason, we decided to try it again last night. Same result. We should have just left when we got the weird greeting from the hostess, who seemed really invested in wanting us to sit at the high top, when all the tables were free, and seemed to think it was odd that we wanted menus. The server was very nice. He gets an A+. Other than that, $70 for some crummy food and a pumpkin beer where the “sugar rim” dripped down the sides of the glass and made a mess. Again the “free” games in the back were junk. After we left we stopped in over at Dirty Taco. Always a good time there. I won’t be back to Standard Rec. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

I wasn't thinking of writing a review, but I thought it had to be said. Recently, I had the displeasure of being served by Nicolette. On top of the food being extremely overpriced and not my taste her attitude sent me over the edge. She radiated negativity and mean girl energy and I will not be returning. While she wasn’t giving me an attitude she was ignoring me at the bar talking to her coworker. On top of everything I ordered a rocket pop and it was watery ash. Price per person: $60–70 Food: 1 Service: 1

**Absolutely Incredible Brunch Spot – 10/10!** Just had the **Brunch Board** and it was outstanding! Everything on it was perfectly executed: the breakfast tacos were fresh and flavorful with those beautiful pickled onions and creamy sauces, the fried chicken bao buns were crispy and addictive, the Mexican-style loaded tots were next-level delicious, and the French toast bites with fruit were the perfect sweet touch. Every bite was a winner — easily one of the best brunch spreads I’ve had. The restaurant itself is gorgeous inside — bright, modern vibes with a fun energy, great lighting, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to stay and linger. From the moment you walk in, it feels like a place you’ll keep coming back to. Service was excellent and the whole experience was top-notch. If you’re in the area for brunch, do yourself a favor and order the Brunch Board — it serves 2-3 people and is totally worth it. I’ll definitely be returning again and again. Highly recommend this place! **Thank you to the team for an amazing meal!**
