wow sooooooo good. fantasticc. 150g for 89myr. medium rare. so juicy and tender. u can cut through it faily decently. good flavour. not very gamey. idk what's the paste on top but it's a little nutty and pesto-y which complements the steak well. the fries were great with simple salt and black pepper. big portion too. our server was a lady on 8 july 2026 on wednesday and she was so joyous! a lovely staff who served us really well.

They only have one meal on the menu essentially - steak and fries. Occasionally they might have a soup special. I was served a small green salad as a started; very refreshing. I enjoyed the steak however I did not like the sauce that they put on top. I didn’t know otherwise I would’ve asked them to put it on the side. It has a curry taste, which I did not like on my steak. Otherwise it is good value for money. Cute little restaurant and extremely friendly and helpful staff Price per person: RM 80–100 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Sitting quietly along Love Lane, Penang, Steak Frites @23 is a hidden gem nestled among rustic architecture. The decor is retro, keeps things simple with no frills, allowing the food to take centre stage. The 200g tenderloin is expertly seared, locking in its juices for a tender, succulent bite. Cooked perfectly “on point,” it’s topped with a rich, melting butter sauce that adds depth without overwhelming the natural flavour of the beef. The accompanying fries are crisp and golden, an ideal accompaniment. With a focused menu of just steak, fries, and salad, the restaurant does one thing—and does it exceptionally well. A cosy, under-rated spot that delivers big on flavour. Price per person: RM 80–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
