Very disappointing experience at the Subway branch. I ordered a 6-inch Pork Riblet and asked for the advertised Value Combo. The menu board clearly states that Pork Riblet is included in the “Six Inch Value Combo Range” for $11.50 (see photos). However, when paying, I was charged around $14+ instead. When I asked why, the staff told me Pork Riblet was “different meat” and therefore more expensive, even though it is literally listed on the Value Combo advertisement. I explained that I’ve ordered the same combo in other Subway stores like Nelson and Blenheim without any issue, but the staff still refused to honour the advertised price and only said they could “tell the boss.” If certain sandwiches are excluded or require extra charges, that should be clearly stated on the menu. Otherwise, this feels very misleading. Poor customer service and very frustrating experience overall. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20

Unfortunately, we have discovered some discrepancies between what is being displayed on our new menu panels and what is currently programmed into the till system. It appears this is what caused the pricing issue you experienced with the Pork Riblet Value Combo.You were absolutely right to raise the concern, and we understand how frustrating it would be to see one price advertised and then be charged a different amount at checkout.
