I got the creme brulee latter which has vanilla and Carmel in it. I asked if they could make it sugar free and they said yes. They charged me $1.25 for sugar free vanilla and another $1.25 for sugar free Carmel. Why charge me for things that come in it already when I just wanted a sugar free version? I didn't ask for crazy alterations like you see at other coffee shops. $10 for a medium latte is insane. I will not be back ever again Service: Take out Meal type: Other Price per person: $10–20 Atmosphere: 5

That was our mistake at the register! I have already refunded your card after I served you. Please check your account it should be fully refunded. Sorry my cashier didn’t catch it until I did making it

No cold coffee options which was slightly disappointing. The cappuccino was good and staff was nice Meal type: Other Price per person: $1–10

What a great place!!! Bear with me here. We are in St. Louis for Special Olympics State Indoor games; specifically, to watch my son, Sam, bowl. We decided to swing by Lindenwood University to catch a Grain Valley Special Olympics basketball game or two. I thought I found a perfect place for breakfast; a doughnut shop that had great reviews and was about a mile away from where we stayed. As we pull in to the parking lot we see a sign on the door that said that the kitchen was down forn the weekend...AND Sam said, I don't like doughnuts. (Who is that kid?) So, we search again, and we find Sugar Beans Coffee House located less than half of a mile from our first location. Well, I was wrong. Our perfect place was actually our second choice! When we walked in, there was a young man at the counter there to help us. He was very patient, kind, and successfully counted back my change from our cash transaction. Our coffee was good, so was Sam's breakfast sandwich, and our cinnamon roles were good as well. What made this the perfect place is the fact that Sugar Beans is an inclusive employer. They support young adults with special needs. When the owner came out and saw our Special Olympics gear, she started to explain how Sugar Beans operated. Sam, told her that he helps out with the Coffee Nest at his school, and the bond between he and the owner was sealed. They talked Coffee house stuff for the next 5 straight minutes; good thing there was nobody behind us. They even have musicians that play there. There is a sign on the wall that told us that the current musician is autistic and blind. This, ladies and gentlemen, made Sugar Beans THE perfect place for us. Will we be back? Next time we are in St. Peters/St. Charles, you betcha!!! Great atmosphere, even better business model, and THE perfect place. God Bless them and the work they are doing.
