AN OLD REVIEW I FORGOT TO POST. IT'S BEEN BOUGHT OUT NOW AND NO LONGER EXISTS: I love Sundance Café. It is one of my all-time favorites. When I go there, I am certain I will get a great meal. I've been there dozens of times and always enjoy it. I give it five stars because of the food. The food is made from scratch. There is none of the processed garbage I get stuck with at other cafés. Be aware this is not a fancy upscale restaurant. It is a rustic mountain café and the service reflects that atmosphere (it's usually good service though not at a five star level - more like 3 1/2). But, the food is amazing. The eggs Benedict is fantastic. The veggie chili is hot and spicy like I like it, but fresh tasting. The tofu Reuben sandwich is awesome (they also have a turkey Reuben). The Bloody Mary's are wonderful. The salad and garlic toast accompaniment is good. I haven't eaten dinner there in several years because I rarely eat meat, but the pork chops with bleu cheese are fantastic (I kind of miss that dish). I love the home fries and the black coffee too. The menu is mostly meat-based with a few vegetarian options thrown in. Every dish shows an attention to detail in my opinion. The dishes aren't fancy, but rather, simple, fresh, and high-quality.
