Wow! I feel terrible for never coming here before, and now they are closing in a few short days! They offer locally roasted coffee, from their sister company "Touchy Coffee", which is living on at another address nearby. In addition to their delicious weekend snacks, crafted by Zve, they offer great coffee and a comfortable space. From my understanding, Zve will be continuing his weekend sandwiches and bagels a the new spot. I wish I could come here again!

Superior Merchandise Company, or "Superior Merch", is a place you can have a good cup of coffee, meet with a friend, and really lose track of time! Their coffee is not for the faint of heart - this is real deal coffee with lots of flavor. The baristas are legit and ready to make latte art, recommend a bean or roast, and chat about what's happening in Troy that week. They have their own coffee bean roastery and sell their coffee as "Touchy Coffee", complete with their own branding and logo. We recently went there for a "Weekly Bagel Sunday." Every Sunday they offer a different type of bagel with a house-made accompanying cream cheese flavor (also available vegan). This past week was a sesame bagel with scallion and chili oil cream cheese. It was a very interesting combo with the perfect amount of kick. A bagel and hot coffee together cost only $5, not including tip, or an extra dollar to make the coffee iced. If you're not there on Bagel Sunday, they have avocado toast and some other great breakfast and lunch options made in-house. They also have a beer and wine list if you're there later in the day and not in the mood for coffee, plus locally made kombucha. Additionally, the shop offers a wide selection of unique gifts, many made by small artisan businesses - definitely a spot to keep in mind for birthday and holiday shopping. Overall, Superior Merch adds wonderful charm and vibrancy to Fourth Street. Looking forward to returning!
