We had an exceptional experience at Surrell. The service was excellent, the patio seating was cozy and perfect for the meal, and the food was outstanding. Would recommend for anyone looking for a special occasion, or just because. We felt the love and attention put into every little detail! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $100+

A culinary fairytale unfolded on Madison, and my taste buds may never quite recover from the sheer magic of it all. SURRELLE—helmed by the wizardly Chef-Owner Aaron Tekulve—didn't just serve dinner for my niece’s birthday; they staged a 13-course gastronomic dreamscape that effortlessly vaulted into the top five meals of my life. Every single course brought a new wave of delight: * Herb funnel cake that felt like pure childhood joy reinvented for haute cuisine. * Dungeness crab custard so silky, rich, and cloud-like it felt decadent to eat. * Wild spot prawns leading into a grand main event: duck over open charcoal paired with hazelnuts, cacao nibs, sweet Bing cherries, and earthy chanterelles. * Inspirational desserts that were vibrant, imaginative works of art. To top off the celebration, the team uncorked some spectacular bottles, including a 1999 Woodward Canyon Chardonnay that absolutely blew my mind.
