My opinion does not concern this restaurant in particular but Sushi Design in general. I congratulate you, in 2024, you are one of the rare restaurants not to have a vegetarian menu. Of course, you do offer vegetarian sushi à la carte, but if we do it this way it sometimes costs us up to twice as much as taking it from the menu (a privilege only granted to our carnivorous friends). Are we punished because we are considered too demanding for your tastes? After having faced the coldness and incompetence of your manager of the Saint Jean restaurant, who absolutely did not provide me with assistance, information or even more than 20 seconds of her time, I find myself speculating on the networks and with those around me on the reasons for this failure/failure on your part: - Or it's pure naivety and simple forgetting of the ENTIRETY of your team (something which would still be surprising because, I repeat, it's 2024, we should think about getting up to speed) . -Or it is conscious ignorance, contempt and assumed disrespect towards the vegetarian percentage of your (ex) clientele. The question therefore arises about the additional time, work/cost/thought it would take for you to add this simple menu to the menu? Many of us don't understand how a restaurant of your caliber has still not managed to get up to speed, while other businesses much smaller than yours are making the effort. It's shameful that we have to bear the direct consequences of your negligence. And the most ironic thing in this whole story is that when we do the math, the amount of the bill is higher for us than for those who ordered menus with salmon, shrimp, tuna, etc., whereas the most expensive product of our poor makis must be...the avocado. We have chosen not to offer a vegetarian menu due to low demand, which is also the case in most Japanese restaurants. Our goal is to select menus that appeal to the majority of our customers while maintaining a balanced and coherent menu. A menu that is too busy could alter the experience.
