We had the pleasure of celebrating a family birthday dinner here tonight, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. As a family, we are passionate about Japanese cuisine. We have travelled to Japan several times, enjoyed many outstanding restaurants across the country, and have also dined at numerous Michelin-starred Japanese restaurants in Paris, London, New York, and other major cities. We can honestly say that Sushi Ryu stands at the same level as many of those exceptional establishments. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was warm, genuine, and attentive. Chef Saito San crafted an extraordinary omakase menu featuring an outstanding selection of premium fish and seafood. Every course was beautifully presented, creative, perfectly balanced, and full of subtle flavours. Throughout the evening, we discovered unique and memorable dishes that showcased both remarkable technique and deep respect for the finest ingredients. Beyond the exceptional food, the atmosphere was intimate, elegant, and incredibly welcoming, making this family celebration even more special. We would highly recommend Sushi Ryu to anyone who truly appreciates authentic high-end Japanese cuisine. It is a destination worth seeking out when visiting Kuala Lumpur. Congratulations and our sincere compliments to Chef Saito and the entire team. We are already looking forward to returning and discovering the other restaurants within the group. Had our first omakase experience and it is worth it.. the. As first timer thenfeeling is very nervous but the staff a very helpful and attentive to every enquiries. The food served also memorable and tasteful. Kudos to the headchef, Chef Saito and the team for the tasty food, from starting to dessert. The Japanese sushi chef is truly exceptional! Every piece of sushi was perfectly prepared, beautifully presented, and unbelievably delicious. You can really feel the chef’s passion and dedication in every dish. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and every bite exceeded my expectations. One of the best Japanese meals I’ve ever had.
