The Sweet Spot is a classic hidden gem in Wichita. The beloved West side restaurant moved East a few years ago and will undoubtedly build an entirely new east side fan base. For our appetizer, we opted for the crab cakes. They were delicious! I could have eaten an entire plate full of them. For our drinks, we chose the pomegranate mule and a custom old-fashioned made with tequila. Both were excellent choices. Are entrees were Steak Tips Au Poivre and the Beef Stroganoff. The Stroganoff was rich and hearty. Definitely a crowd-pleaser. The steak tips perfectly cooked and the peppercorn demi-glace was perfectly balanced. We were two full by the time dessert came around. However we were eyeballing the toffee pecan bread pudding. Of course all the dessert options sounded mouth watering. I highly recommend the Sweet Spot. It's perfect for out of town guests, date night, or just because. There is also a spacious room off to the side for events as well. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30

Oh my goodness was this the best experience I've had at a restaurant for a long time, the food was fantastic, i couldn't choose between the lobster or the specialty lamb, so the chef himself came out to explain both dishes and what it took to make each, when i finalized on the lamb he then brought out the risotto that came with the lobster so i could give it a little try, which was so smooth and savory But that LAMB!! Jeez the way it melted in my mouth and went so well with the sauce he prepare, it came with seasoned veggies(and im not talking salt and pepper, it was seasoned with this buttery smooth sauce that i couldn't stay away from) and the rosemary potatoes were great, not dry, and not soggy, perfect middle The cocktails were on the stronger side which is just how i like it, and the service was attentive, but gave me amd my date a good amount of space to yap about things without interruption. We also ordered an appetizer (it was the bread and spreads, simple but delectable speads and perfectly crisped bread) and she gave us time to go through that without a bother Mind you, we were there late, close to close, and not an attitude in site, just welcomed smiles and great talk with the chef. We ended up leaving past close because the suggested a mouse cake for the end, even though they had closed, and it went great with the sweet spot #4 Overall, this place checked the vibe, atmosphere, service, food, and drink. Best date I've been on.

We booked a reservation for Mother’s Day and it was very underwhelming. The appetizer (the Lavash) we got was great and yummy but not worth $23. The meatloaf was great, not too dry and the sauce was yummy. The spaghetti wasn’t very good at all— meatballs were dry, lacked flavor, and were tough to cut open . The service wasn’t very great, we hardly saw our server. We were hoping this would have changed since our last time there. Two sets of our silverware had dirty utensils in them. Having to box our own stuff in a restaurant so fancy was also surprising. Drink specials could use more description. Online it looks super inviting and homey but when you actually sit down— again, it’s very underwhelming. With prices as high as they are for most things, we definitely expected better. Glad we tried it but probably won’t be returning. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
