You can't go wrong with $2 pbrs, and a staff that's clearly in a rhythm. Great spot to spend some time and get some good food. Meal type: Dinner

Great beer selection. Blood Marys were stupendous. Comfortable shaded sidewalk seating. Great time with family and friends! Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Other

T-Bock's Sports Bar & Grill is one of the few remaining longstanding Decorah dining and drinking institutions, and that status is the biggest boon for T-Bock's business. It stands out for its bar-and-grill combination, sports features, busy crowds, multi-roomed seating, free popcorn or peanuts, and central location.The menu is sufficient and has thus remained relatively unchanged for a long time. It has several unique burgers, sandwiches, and salads. The food is good, especially the Brew City beer-battered fries. The burgers are tasty and hastily made.Though good, the food is no longer great. Over time (since years before the recent inflation and pandemic), T-Bock's has become lax in both its food and service. It doesn't have to try hard to fill its seats with patrons, so the prices have inclined as the food taste, presentation, and portion sizes have declined. Service ranges in quality, but the overpriced and underwhelming food is by far the biggest weakness. Many customers are drawn because they don't know any better, but an increasing number of longtime patrons like me are disappointed.Though I have many fond memories thoroughly enjoying the atmosphere, drinks, and food at T-Bock's, its overratedness since the mid-2010s deters me from visiting. I drive to other towns (or other Decorah restaurants) for better quality (and better value) American food. I would love to see T-Bock's step up to the plate to reclaim its former place at the top of bar-and-grills in the area. It already has it made, but to reap the benefits of its full potential, it can focus more.
