The employee who helped us spoke great English and they had menus that included English options. More importantly, the gelato and ice cream were absolutely delicious and used local ingredients. It's a short hike, but make sure to park down by the Tsukigatani Onsen. There is a green sign pointing to an old stairway that leads up to the road, and there will be a second stairway across the road with a sign that leads up to a lovely view of the river. Don't miss this place!

Amazing gelato! Unique local flavors and amazingly friendly staff! Really some flavors were made as gelato before and they’re all super fresh. They allow delivery and they’re just a few steps away from the onsen so it’s a great spot to get some sweet treats!

Came back three times just to try all their flavours — totally worth it! They have a lovely mix of dairy and sorbet options, perfect for summer. I especially loved the affogato! The owners are the sweetest, and the shop has such a warm, inviting vibe. Also appreciated the thoughtful retail corner with incense and hand creams — perfect for gifts. A true gem!
