Dear Dave, Thank you so much for your review! I’ve read it many times and have been thinking carefully about how to reply to you! First of all, I must compliment your photography skills! You made both my shop and the fried chicken look absolutely amazing! My staff and I love the photos so much, we’d love to save copies to use for our future shop promotions — if you’d be so kind as to give us your permission! Regarding your feedback, I want to sincerely apologize first. I am truly sorry for giving you a less-than-stellar dining experience. Since reading your review I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about how we can improve. First option: Level the place to the ground with the same look your fiancé gave it? I don’t think my landlord would agree to that! He’s a very strict old man, and I really don’t want to mess with him! Second option: Smash all the self- ordering kiosks and cover the walls with menus? If I did that, I’m sure even more people would leave comments saying they prefer not to interact with cashiers and just want to order from a machine for more freedom! The fried chicken combo you ordered doesn’t have a fixed drink precisely because the system is set up to let you choose your own beverage. However, we will absolutely fix this right away to make it clearer. Thank you! I actually come from far - away Sweden, where winter lasts for eight months! If I were to open a boba tea shop there, I’d probably install ten self- ordering kiosks, because people there really dislike talking to other humans! That’s exactly why I came here — because there are so many warm, chatty, and outspoken Americans like you who are just as cheerful as I am. I love you guys! Third option: Tear out the uncomfortable tables and chairs and remodel the whole place? Oh my god! I’ve already spent all my savings to buy this shop. If I tell my husband I need more money for a remodel, he will literally fly from Sweden to Lexington just to divorce me! I’m so sorry, Dave, but I love him very much! I’ve been married to a quiet, reserved Swede for twenty years, and I have no plans to remarry a chatty American just yet! That being said, I’m so happy that you at least liked our boba tea and fried chicken! They are the soul of our shop and the foundation of our brand. Because of that, I do not plan on changing our layout or facilities just yet. But I promise you this: as soon as I start making a profit, I will go straight to the Swedish IKEA where my husband works, order a perfect set of tables and chairs, and wait for you and your fiancé to visit us again!
