The Tailrace Centre hosted the Tamar Valley Steiner School Winter Spiral Event last week. The space was warm, comfortable and easily accommodated our students and their families. We appreciated the support from staff at Tailrace in setting up for the event, and the professionalism in which they handled our booking. Thank you for a magical evening!

After years of planning and everything locked in they changed the menu and pricing of our wedding 6 weeks from when it was due to happen. Obviously we had to go along with this as we were to close to the day to change venue On the day nothing was set up as they said it would be until I raised it with them just before the wedding. They then did a rush job of decorating the area. The outside section stank like raw sewage and no one gave us the heads up about this. Our ceremony took place outside so that was a huge issue to us and would have been nice to be warned of this and offered to move it inside. The lawn games were paid for but unused as the area outside stank so much. No refunds were offered for any of these issues. The wait staff were nice but management were nowhere to be seen pretty much right from after they had received our money. This might be a good venue for an elderly persons birthday but I would be wary about using it for a wedding.
