One of my first times going out for Indian food and my girl suggest this place cause she knows the neighbourhood. The decor in here is definitely dated and could use some sprucing up. The napkins and table clothes all seemed to have some dirt or stains on them but we settled in anyways We were eating on a somewhat restricted diet mostly my fault but the restaurant was accommodating to my low carb needs. We decided to get a couple things to share We got the sag paneer ( spinach and cheese dish ), the vegetables korma and butter chicken. The spinach was cooked beautifully and was full of flavour. The korma dish was probably my favourite it was sweet and savoury and just really hit the spot. The butter chicken was good put definitely had a sweeter taste then ones if had in the past. Over all I had a pretty good experience and would come back and try some other dishes

Let me start this one off by sayin the reviews are right about the in-house service. If you're going to eat in-house, I highly recommend kissing a$$ from the start. Delivery = 5 stars no issues. My food always arrives within 45 minutes, hot and always served by the sweetest delivery guys: thank yous and apologies for no reason because they think it took long for the food to arrive. (Which it never does.) I recently had the displeasure to eat in-house. BYOW YAY! BUT Oh my. That service. We ended up managing to swing service to our side by being EXTRA sweet and EXTRA understanding, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't seriously contemplating a 3 star review and boycotting this place altogether just because of Mr Grumpy-I-know-better. I think if it weren't for how damn good the food is and how mostly I only deal with them delivery that, after tonight's experience, I might seriously forget this place. My table of 13 couldn't for the life of us figure out if our server was horrendously un-funny or detrimentally sarcastic. Many a comment was passed on his part unnecessarily and only contributed to our malaise. (We booked for 15 and had 2 ppl cancel and despite the early hour in the evening and the other several empty tables, we were made to feel as if we had prevented them from acquiring more profits. And that was but one incident within the first 15 minutes of our arrival). Because myself and my local friend Tania are regulars to this place, we continued to be as sweet and understanding as possible and that is probably the only reason I can actually upgrade my review to 5 stars instead of decreasing it to 3. He eventually stopped seeming so irritated with us and started more joking around with us which was a really pleasant way to end the evening, but had we reacted to the hostility from the start this meal would have been a disaster! So tip to the visitor: be disgustingly sweet and understanding and u will actually receive decent service...otherwise be prepared to be treated like sh*t! No lies. Unless ur ordering delivery, then it's always perfect! The food omg. This is why it is necessary to put up w Mr. Grumpy - waiter/manager? I have tried literally almost everything on the menu and with the exceptions of: - the house curry And - the butter chicken (I know, it's disappointing, but don't order this and complain cuz I'm warning u: it sux here) Everything is worth ordering! It is all seriously tastetacular! My personal faves for taste explosions are the biryanis, the tandoori chicken platter, and for a spicy that will make u cry the vindaloo! There's one more dish even spicier than the vindaloo but I seriously don't understand how anyone could eat it without crying the whole time! Other not so-spicy recommendations would be the cheese naan bread and the chicken tikka. So delicious! Oh and for you sea food lovers: I HATE SEAFOOD and not only did I take a bite, but I ate 1 and a 1/2 whole huge shrimps from their mixed tikka platter and gawd damnnnnn I never knew I could like shrimp that much!!!!! Phenomenal!!! I was looking forward to each bite and that is an extremely rare occurence when I eat any seafood. But to be honest. Aside from the butter chicken which is disappointingly sucky here fricken EVERYTHING is worth getting. I think I've managed to ensure good in-house service for the future, but come in here expecting to kiss a$$ to be treated right. Otherwise just order delivery and enjoy like I do! I know it's a lot to ask, but please don't give this place a bad review because of that 1 grumpy ol' guy. The rest of the staff is actually quite sweet and the food is fantabulous indian food!!! So I give them their full 5 stars after over 5 years of ordering delivery and finally once eating in-house.
