Would agree with David’s review here, I think people have been a bit harsh, and must have a high standard of chips and fish. In my experience it was a solid chips and fish, lots of fish as well

Great fish and chips, too bad the others had bad experiences. Well seasoned and generous portions. Only complaint is that the sauce that comes with it runs out before finishing the fish and chips! Clearly others have been expecting some elaborate classy dinning experience but at nearly half the price of local alternatives I'd say this is a solid place to get some chippies. Basic fish and chips comprised of a small handful of undercooked chips and three small pieces of overcooked whiting. Tasteless, dry. Potato scallop thick and greasy, filling had strange texture - like mashed potato. Coleslaw sloppily prepared. Great location - part of a great pub - but I recommend that you eat elsewhere.
