We stayed in Tamel but it was worth the drive to this coffee and breakfast shop. It was clean, coffee and hot chocolate was amazing, and the food was delicious. We will be back. Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: Rs 500–1,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I frequently visit this café and really enjoy the overall experience. The coffee is great, and the ambience is warm and welcoming. Most of the staff are friendly, attentive, and professional. However, I did have uncomfortable interactions with two of the lady baristas. Although they were smiling, their words and actions came across as dismissive and unkind, which felt out of place given the otherwise positive environment. It was disappointing, especially because the rest of the team was genuinely wonderful. I hope the management takes note, as this café has so much potential and truly shines in many areas. With a bit more consistency in customer service, it could be an exceptional spot.

I’m delighted to see that Tala Mathi Coffee continues to be here! I fell in love with this awesome coffee shop last time I was in Nepal. By far the best coffee shop in Kathmandu! Desserts are handmade and delicious, vegetarian pie is really good as are the quiche they make. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: Rs 1–500 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: Vegetarian hand pies, mushroom or spinach quiche. All the desserts of the day.
