Taste of Asia became rebranded as Tasty Pho, and they underwent renovations as well. It is no longer a hole in the wall style place but still seems to be family-run. There’s a brand new coat of paint, some big TV screens, new tables and new chairs.
The boyfriend and I came here twice in the last 4 months. #28, Pho Tai, Nam, Sach, $7.95: This bowl of pho came with rare beef, flank, and tripe. There was a decent amount of meat and tripe.
New Vietnamese restaurant here in North Burnaby, a reason why I must try and also cause I was craving pho this morning. Came here at 11:15am, they just opened at 11am. Looks like it's family ran and the lady was setting/refilling tables and the man was setting up the kitchen.
Service was mediocre, just the lady bringing me my menu, taking my order, and bring me tea. The man from the kitchen brought out my pho.
House Special Pho - Good portion for large. It contained meatballs, tripe, flank, and tendons. The trip was shaved into very thin pieces and placed near the edge of the pho. I was actually able to pick it up to eat. Usually a lot of places it's twirled up in the noodles and you can't even find it. The broth was tasty, but slight salty. I think the noodles are homemade as it has that chewy and sticky feel when you eat it. The beansprouts, basil, jalepeno, and lime looked super fresh.

Will definitely come back to try other items.
