This particular rodeo performance was sold out in advance. Your inquiry about using Go City passes came at approximately 1:55 PM on the day of the event, after we had already reached capacity. Once a performance is sold out, we are unable to admit additional guests, regardless of ticket source, including third-party passes such as Go City. This is clearly noted on the Go City website, which explains that reservations are required in advance since the rodeo does sell out.Regarding what you saw onsite, our gate staff does have stacks of wristbands because wristbands are issued after tickets are scanned. The presence of wristbands at admission points does not indicate that tickets remain available for sale. Additionally, we would also like to clarify a point referenced in your review regarding admissions held for rodeo contestants. Contestants and their immediate family members are provided admission as part of participating in our open rodeo. Because entries occur both in advance and on the day of the event, we must hold a limited number of tickets to accommodate competitors and their families. These admissions are not sold to them. Our employee explained this via email with no mention that we sold these tickets to them. This is standard practice in rodeo operations and ensures we can properly host the athletes who make the event possible. It is also important to clarify that Tejas Rodeo Company does not receive payment from Go City unless a pass is successfully redeemed onsite so we had not received any type of payment for admission when we shared we were sold out and therefore couldn’t have “resold” your ticket to someone else because you never had a ticket as you stated.We also want to address the comments directed toward our team member. She has been with Tejas Rodeo Company for over 15 years and is highly respected for her professionalism and integrity. While we regret that the explanation provided did not meet your expectations, there was no intent to mislead or deceive.We understand that this situation was disappointing. Our goal in communicating that the event was sold out was to prevent guests from making the trip only to be turned away at the gate. Any last-minute availability we may have can fluctuate for several reasons, is never guaranteed and cannot be relied upon for voucher redemption.We appreciate your kind words about our staff and food, and we are sorry this experience overshadowed your visit.
