Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodle has been on my radar to try for sometime, and decided to go give this place a try and check it off the list! We went on a Saturday around 6pm for dinner, and luckily had no wait time considering how busy the restaurant was! Ambiance of the restaurant overall was cozy and bright, decor was nice and service was fast! Just noting - this feels like a pretty popular place so I would definitely recommend coming earlier if you want to get seated without too much wait time! The parking lot is also usually packed as well. I got the Seaweed Salad appetizer and the Crossing Bridge Noodles, which I'll review both down below: Seaweed Salad: Light and refreshing, this appetizer dish is definitely a great palate cleanser! The seaweed itself is sliced really thinly and the flavors coating the strands are subtle and give nice acidity in complement to the rich noodle broth that I got! It may look like a small portion, but it actually is sizable after eating it for a bit - the seaweed is definitely stacked high on the plate! Crossing Bridge Noodles: I haven't had this type of noodle before, and was definitely intrigued by the instructions on how it was assembled! I really like DIY meals like this, yum! There are steps on the menu on how to place the ingredients in the pot in a specific order, so definitely take note of that! The soup comes out sizzling and a clay pot, and it is a great soul-warming experience on a cold day for sure! It may look like a lot of food from the pictures, but it surprisingly wasn't as filling as I expected - I would personally order a bit more the next time I swing by! The broth itself is very light and the flavors are subtle, definitely have to sip and just savor the flavors - but upon tasting them, it is definitely delicious and had an excellent pork bone profile! Everything provided here give this bowl of noodles a good contrast of textures. I would say my favorite was the chicken wing, the meat was so tender it basically fell off the bone. The noodles were chewy - you can definitely cooking them to your liking by just placing them in whenever you're ready to start! They do also give you a quail egg to cook in the broth, but sadly mine disintegrated and became one with the broth. Overall, spent about $19 ($5 Seaweed Salad + $14 Noodle dish) and I enjoyed the experience at Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodle! The food was definitely delicious and the experience of putting the dish together was pretty unique and fun! I would definitely like to come back to try the other interesting options that this restaurant has to offer! (4.5 Stars)
