We had an incredible dining experience at Tenku at The Kingsbury Hotel. The restaurant itself offers a fantastic ambiance, perfectly matching the high standard you expect from a premium rooftop spot in Colombo. The highlight of the night was undoubtedly the food. A massive shoutout to Head Chef and Chef Amandi—Their culinary skills are exceptional! Every dish they prepared was an absolute masterpiece, bursting with authentic flavors and stunning presentation. From the freshness of the ingredients to the perfect balance of textures, their passion for the craft truly shines through in every bite. The service was equally outstanding. The restaurant Manager runs a flawless operation, ensuring a warm, welcoming environment and making sure every guest is well looked after with genuine hospitality. Tenku. We went for dinner and were incredibly surprised by JUST, how FLAVORFUL their sushi and their dishes were. The manager, Kavishka was an absolute delight of a gentleman; very accommodating and incredibly friendly. So was the head chef, Sujith, both very nice gentlemen. Service overall was excellent all round. The atmosphere is quite nice, very relaxed — perfect for dates, anniversaries, birthday dinners, family dining, etc. Thanks to the wonderful team at Tenku.
