Best Thai food ever had, visited with friends for birthday dinner, turned out to be amazing. Little expensive but worth spending. Definitely can be visited again. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Order type: Dine in Price per person: $30–40

We had the set menu for a group of 12. Everyone had their own favourite dishes. The food presentation was beautiful. We had the Garden room which gave us that tropical jungle Thai theme, with also the decorative coloured cushions. We didnt feel we were in Auckland and in the middle of winter! The entree was so addictive, the mains was very tasty, especially the Green Chicken curry it wasn’t too spicy and it warm our bellies. We requested chicken to be added to Thaiger fried rice without the pineapples and it was good. Blue coconut rice was yummy too, it also added more colour to the table along with the prawn curry pineapple (curry prawns served in an actual pineapple). The desserts looked so inviting we had the option mango sticky rice and banana crispy balls. Banana crispy balls was the winner! For the mango sticky rice, i think it needed more sweetness? The rice was a bit too salty with a dribble of coconut cream on top. The mango tasted different and sour. It was the coconut ice cream that did justice to it. Overall we really loved the food and the service. Thaiger is a lovely place to dine in, the theme, food dishes and its presentation does take you to Thailand.
