I visited the anchor recently and personally I cannot fault them in any way. The food was superb as were the delicious cocktails (a perfect negroni) and the service was attentive with a gentle touch. Well done to everyone.

I stopped this evening at The Anchor part way through my journey home, having spent 4 hours in crawling traffic due to M25 closure. A beautiful pub with an amazing setting, a pint of house lager was just what was needed at this point, with the view as an added bonus minus the queuing card obviously Ordered food too and the fish and chips didn’t disappoint. They did forget my order, but a quiet word with the waiter and it can put shortly after with a big apologises. Staff were lovely and it’s doggy friendly
