Came here for a family dinner and was not disappointed! Sooo yummy and we were VERY impressed by the prices and options. We all enjoyed what we ordered, had filling portions, and everything tasted fresh and healthy (even the kids ate!!). Super friendly staff, clean, I just wish they had one closer to me! We were excited to try The Bowl Factory as a new spot in Springville, and with customizable bowls (including fun options like mac & cheese or smoothie-style bases). The staff was friendly and clearly working hard. The manager was hustling everywhere to help. That said, as a very new restaurant, they're still ironing out the operations side of things. My wait time was really long (like 20 minutes from the time they had my bowl prepped and in the queue) due to bottlenecks at the register (no dedicated person to ring up customers and drive-thru distractions), even though it was a short line in front of me. Food prep seemed inexperienced (lots of checking cards for recipes, and not noticing when ingredients were out), and there were stock issues (for example, no bananas for my wife's Cacao Bowl, which weren't discovered until after I had already paid). My Caribbean bowl had rubbery shrimp and a weird texture to the rice, although the sauces were tasty. My wife's order got switched due to missing ingredients, and the whole experience ended up disappointing for both of us. The concept has promise, with bold flavors and variety, and everyone seemed eager to do a good job. I'd give it another shot in 12 to 18 months once the systems are smoother and they figure out how to smooth out the operational problems. For now, go in with patience.
