Booked into the Rydges Hotel for two nights stay. Amazing. Dinner on the first night I was looking forward to. For the duration of our dinner time, there were 2 other tables of two people. It took over 20mins to get our drink, the entree and main then came out right after each other. The food was amazing. I had the lamb rack - perfect. Hubby had the steak and he ordered med rare. It was perfect. Muscle Pot was great too, and we were given extra bread as a gesture of good will. Everything tasted so good and it was only the slow service that let them down. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: NZ$100+ Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Mashed Potato, Braised Lamb Shoulder, Scotch Fillet Steak

Food was excellent, the space was awesome and lovely to dine in. But we waited about 30 mins for our food to arrive and there was only about 12 people dining, even our drinks took 10 minutes and we waited 20 minutes for ice cream! The waiters/waitresses were incredibly lovely, but they didn’t check on us unless they were brining food. So we ended up having to call out to them to ask for more drinks. The lights were also brought up to fill in order to get out diners faster a full hour before close. Lovely, food and lovely people, they just haven't been trained properly. Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4
