Tanto Gaffer District como The Cellar merecen una visita. Este bar es famoso porque ofrece platos de la cocina fusión. The Cellar bien pudiera recomendarse solo por su singular poutine de pato, su sorprendente pollo frito y sus perfectamente elaborados gambones al ajillo. Es una buena idea pedir unos atrayentes gofres de patata, una casera tarta cremosa y una delicada crema de chocolate. Cuando vayas a este lugar, tienes que probar su insuperable vino de la casa, su espectacular cerveza artesanal o su sensacional café martini. Un lugar excelente en Corning. Quedé fascinada con variedad de comida con influencia de otros países. Me gustaron mucho los mejillones y el poutine. El servicio es muy bueno, bastante atentos y rápido. Recomiendo hacer reserva, nosotros fuimos los primeros en llegar un día y encontramos mesa sin embargo 1 hora después ya estaba todo lleno. Hay estacionamientos al frente pero hay estacionamientos a 3 cuadras libres por todo el día el fin de semana. El cocktail San Fran Pisco, es en base a Pisco Portón, al ser peruana debía probarlo y estuvo excelente.

Dinner date 5/19/2025- TUESDAY (not even weekend. crowd!) We are from NJ, we are on a road trip to celebrate our 25th Anniversary.The Cellar was recommended by a local glass blowing staff from Corning Glass Museum. We made a reservation for 7:45, we didn’t get seated until at least 8pm. We sat on their bar to wait for our table; the bartender didn’t smile, was so unfriendly! When we finally got seated, the appetizer was delicious (roasted Brussels sprouts) but it took them about at least 45 minutes!!!! And the staff who delivered the appetizer just literally dropped it off the table and left. No words came out of her mouth- just dropped the appetizer and left. We have never experienced such unfriendly staff and slow service. Dinner finally came at 9:15- the appetizer dishes are still on the table, the seltzer water my husband was drinking didn’t get filled up- the waiter replenished my regular tap water but not my husband’s seltzer water glass remained empty. The waiter never came to check on us, at this time there were only 3 tables. Slow service and unfriendly staff! It took us about 2.5 hours to dine ! Price per person: $50–60 Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

We're sorry to hear you had a negative experience dining with us. We have some new staff training and were also debuting our new spring menu that night so things were not as quick as they should have been. That is on us. We do wish you would have asked to speak with a manager that evening rather than wait until there is nothing we can do to make your experience better. If you'd like to give us another try some time, you'd be welcome.

Staying a night in town looked at options and thought this place would be unique....and it was. I ordered the scallops and was disappointed to find they did not have any. We almost left at that point but decided to stick it out. We ordered a few drinks which were excellent and then ordered the chicken tostadas, the burger and an order of fries. The tostadas, as pictured, were delicious. they tasted even better than they looked (which was fantastic). The burger was two fresh patties of beef, seasoned and cooked to perfection. the bacon, jam, and touch of cheese all blended well together. A bit messy to eat as it was so big but cut it in half and it was easier to handle. The fries came in this ceramic, almost bowl, dish. It was heated and stayed warm throughout dinner. We shared the fries and they were seasoned and cooked so well. The fries were crispy all thru dinner. There were no seasonings or condiments on the tables but the food was already seasoned well. We found this place almost by accident, almost walked out but they completely won us over by the end. Our waiter (I think he said Eric, the gentleman with the spiked mohawk) was excellent. We do recommend either dining at a table or a seat at the ample bar. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Vegetarian menu or section
