We ate here as we were staying next door the service was really good the waiter was on his own when the came out it was either cold or burnt quick to replace it but the food was bad full stop. Breakfast no choice no one around to ask paid £18.00 for 2 was not worth it will not be eating there again if we stay in the town again. Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £50–60

The Colliers used to be our first choice for family celebrations. It was known for its good food, excellent service, and clean, well-maintained surroundings. That is why we chose it to celebrate our father's 92nd birthday. Sadly, our recent experience was extremely disappointing. From the moment we arrived, the service was poor. Our drinks took approximately 45 minutes to reach the table, and our meals didn't arrive until around 80 minutes after ordering. During this time, no one came to explain the delay or offer an apology. When the food eventually arrived, items were missing from the children's meal, the plates were dirty, there were no napkins on the table, and no member of staff checked whether everything was satisfactory. To make matters worse, we asked for a simple pot of tea on three separate occasions before it finally arrived, only for it to be served with milk that had curdled. Throughout our visit, staff appeared disengaged, spending time chatting together rather than attending to customers. The overall condition of the pub has also deteriorated significantly. It now feels tired, neglected, and lacking the welcoming atmosphere it once had. It was telling that, during our visit, we saw two other couples become so frustrated that they simply got up and left. When we paid the bill, we explained that this was the poorest meal and overall experience we had ever had at The Colliers. Unfortunately, our feedback was met with little more than a blank expression, with no apology or apparent concern. What should have been a special celebration for our father's 92nd birthday was overshadowed by poor food, unacceptable service, and a complete lack of customer care. As an extended family, we will not be returning to The Colliers and, based on this experience, are unlikely to dine at any Table Table restaurant again.
