For my birthday, we were greeted with fantastic smiles and service from the moment we walked in. Fantastic atmosphere, amazing food and outstanding service. Great food, fab atmosphere and friendly staff. It was my friends birthday and they made a fuss and gave her a free dessert with a sparkler and music the waiter made an extra effort and created a beautiful rose from a serviette! So kind and very creative! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Chicken Fajitas, Pecan Pie Dietary restrictions: I have a milk allergy and they kindly adapted my fajitas to remove sour cream and cheese and add more guacamole.

A fine dining place with pretty looking - and tasting - dishes. On the positives, the jalapeno hotshots, the veggie burrito, the Encanto bowl and breaded mushrooms were very good. The lamb cutlets were a bit charred. The Encanto Kitchen certainly looks nice, but one doesn't get a Mexican vibe from the place. The one distinctly Mexican thing was when we asked for a hot sauce, they gave us a small cup of habanero, and boy it was fiery! The un-Mexican thing was that they charged us for it, which was a bit odd (imagine a pizzeria charging you separately for olive oil). The staff, while not rude, were mildly cold in their behaviour - our waitress looked a little lost while taking our orders, another member of staff took away a glass of beer from my friend when there was still some grog left in it before we could protest, and so on. But a special shout-out to Milos, who eventually brought out some much needed cheer while we were settling the bill. So all in all, a good place but I'm on the fence about visiting again.
