We stopped at Puhoi General Store on our way to Whangārei, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. The coffee was absolutely outstanding — rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. It was so memorable that we made a point to stop again on our way back to Auckland just to have another cup. The almond croissant was also delicious — crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside, and a perfect match with the coffee. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere and view made it a perfect place to relax and take a break. This is definitely a place I would love to visit again and highly recommend to anyone passing through. A truly perfect café experience.
