We used to come here when the children were small. We have recently started visiting again. Lovely friendly atmosphere. Great setting if you have kids as there is a safe playground for them. Staff are all lovely and helpful. Food is amazing enough choice to tempt you but not so much choice that you are overwhelmed. If there has to be any critisism its they give you far too much obviously making it great value for money. Bit off the beaten track but oh so worth a visit Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We stopped off at The Good Intent during a mid week, circular walk from Teston. There was a good enough selection of beers on offer, a decent welcome and sevice and no problem getting a seat. I opted for a pint of Stella and a plate of nachos covered in chilli and cheese which were both very nice. Other people in our group had the garlic prawns which they said were very nice and recommended. The pub started to fill up by the time we were about to leave and there was quite a good atmosphere. We would definitely return when we are in the area in the future. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
