I have two criticisms, however. 1. Because the ingredients are carefully chosen, I'm sure more money goes into the food here than what might meet the eye. I have wondered if the some of the baked items like brownies are held over for 2-3 days. I had a brownie there last week. It was dry - no doubt about it. 2. The weekend table service, which handles the brunch crowds varies from adequate to bizarre. While this is not a table cloth restaurant, the service is truly inefficient on weekends. A simple request, like asking for a fork, or a check, can take a several minutes to accommodate.
Regardless, I go in about once a week. It's only a block from the lake and is a great stop-off while out for a walk.
