I visited with a friend for dinner. The view is beautiful, but unfortunately the food and service did not meet the high standards I expected from the Peninsula Hotel. I ordered the sushi, but it was mostly rice with very little shrimp. The shashlik arrived cold, and the chicken skewers were not well either. The only dish I really enjoyed was the cold soup—it was excellent. I hope the hotel improves both its food quality and service, as the location and atmosphere have so much potential. I went for a coffee time with my family and I will admit that the whole experience was amazing; the atmosphere, the quality, comfort and most importantly the service. Appreciation to Ata Korogly and Muhammet that welcomed us with warm hospitality and that served with passion and friendliness which led to our perfect coffee date. Thank you and would recommend to ANYONE who would like to experience istanbuls luxury, will be back for an afternoon tea!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Other Price per person: ₺2,000+

The Lobby Restaurant – Peninsula Istanbul Epitome of Luxury in Istanbul What an absolutely delightful lunch experience at The Peninsula Istanbul! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. A special mention to hostess Gulhan, whose warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care elevated the entire dining experience. Her service was truly commendable and reflects the high standards of The Peninsula. I would rate it as one of the bestest experienced with the most positive attitude with service with a smile. The food was simply fabulous. We enjoyed: Fresh and comforting vegetarian soups Avocado sandwich – light, delicious, and perfectly balanced Mezze platter – beautifully presented with authentic flavors Saffron Biryani – absolutely outstanding and the star of the meal! Rich aroma, perfect texture, and unforgettable taste Saffron rice – equally impressive and wonderfully fragrant Papad and onions – a thoughtful accompaniment that added a lovely Indian touch Mint lemonade – refreshing and perfectly crafted Espresso Martini – expertly made and thoroughly enjoyable And to finish, the Opera dessert was a superb experience in itself – elegant, refined, and a perfect ending to a memorable meal. The beautiful ambiance, stunning waterfront setting, impeccable service, and exceptional cuisine make The Lobby at The Peninsula Istanbul a destination worth visiting even if you're not staying at the hotel.
