The food were simply amazing. Flavours and textures were spot on, and it was hard for us to choose a favourite dish of the night.
The lamb shoulder was cooked to perfection - tender and juicy, with a noticeable but not overpowering gamy flavour. Even a friend of mine who didn't like lamb, couldn't help but complimented the succulent texture of the lamb.
It was a good thing that she didn't eat lamb, as she ordered the roasted pork which we had the pleasure of stealing bites from. It had the most incredibly crispy crackling, and the saltiness of the meat was well-balanced by the tangy tamarind caramel.
It was not just the meat that wowed us. The underrated Brussels sprouts and cauliflower almost stole the show from the meats. The complex flavours of both the cruciferous vegetables were brought out by roasting them, giving them a nutty, savoury and slightly sweet taste. The chunky chips came out hot, fresh and so crunchy.
The portion size of the lamb, which was categorised under "to share", was huge. Unless you don't plan to order anything else other than the lamb, I suggest at least 3 to share the lamb.
Service was attentive and charming, and the homely and cosy atmosphere added to the experience. For lovers of wine, Long Table does wine tasting in the afternoon and they have Quealy wine on their wine list!
excellent service
loved the foodthough would be good if they were a little smaller (and $$) so you could get more plates to share between 2 ppl, really felt like you needed to take 4ppl to get the most out of the menu
will be back to try other menu items though
